The objective of the project was to develop a fuel-efficient hybrid vehicle drive system to achieve low noise, zero emission, carbon-neutral propulsion systems. This was accomplished through the integration of a number of existing technologies utilized in an innovative package.

The outcome of the project was the adoption by targeted vehicle manufacturers (both road and rail) of this system in a range of vehicles adapted to meet the requirements of both the private and public sectors.

A market research project was undertaken to determine the market possibilities up to 2025.
