The objective is to develop a fuel-efficient hybrid vehicle drive system to achieve low noise, zero emission, carbon-neutral propulsion systems.

Through the integration of a number of existing technologies utilised in an innovative package, the project aims to provide a holistic refuelling solution for rail vehicles operating on renewable gaseous fuels such as bio-methane and hydrogen in urban and remote locations.

The outcome of the project is the adoption by targeted vehicle manufacturers (both road and rail) of this system in a range of vehicles adapted to meet the requirements of both the private and public sectors
