Exploring the Future of CCUS: Insights from Hive Ventures and EU TrANsMIT COST Action

Hive Ventures joined members of the EU TrANsMIT COST Action at the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre at Teesside University Middlesbrough to discuss the future of the Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage technologies, challenges, as well as future opportunities to enhance research cooperation opportunities.

It was a great opportunity exchange with #CCUS industry experts including presentations from DNV (Dan Allason) on CCUS risks, Tees Valley Combined Authority on the success of the Teeside Valley Cluster promoting Net Zero in the region (Jessie Baguley) as well as the application of CCUS in shipping by Prof. Patchigolla Kumar.

Improving our understanding of technical assessments, life cycle analyses, and supporting economic instruments such as regulation and carbon marktes is vital for CCUS to become a sustainable solution for combating climate change and achieving #netzero.

We would like to thank the team at TRANSMIT for hosting us including Dawid Hanak, Anna Skorek-Osikowska and Mijndert Van der Spek and look forward to the next meet
